Best way to celebrate my birthday was to have a nice dinner with old friends and their kids whom we've watched grow up, and then to go to another friend's 50th birthday bash to woop it up, drink and dance like we aren't 50.
In the words of Sally Omalley, "I like to kick, stretch, and kick again!" And my love of chocolate cake has only grown.

Took friends to Bloedel today. I tried not to oversell the beauty of this Pacific Northwest garden. I think they were impressed with the carefully constructed, naturalistic wild.
